Who Can Be A SBEA Member?
Anyone who works or has retired at Spirit Aerosystems or Boeing can be a member of the SBEA. There are other types of memberships available, please see below.
How To Become A Member
Just go to any SBEA store and fill out an application to join. Your dues will be taken out of your paycheck each payday. Dues are $7 per payday. The clerk will give you a temporary card so you can use the services right away. If you have questions please call us at 316-522-2996 and we will be glad to help you find the closest SBEA location to help get you signed up.
Family Membership Cards
You may get family cards for the spouse and any children between the ages of 14 to 21 living at home with the member. You may pick up a family card application at any SBEA store or call 316-522-2996 and ask for one to be mailed to you. Simply fill the form out and return it to any SBEA store or mail to SBEA at K30-35 and we will mail your family cards to your company mail stop. Please call if you have any further questions. All debts incurred by the member or family member of the primary cardholder are the responsibility of the primary member.
Going To Retire?
When you retire from Boeing or Spirit, and do not go to work for the other company, you are eligible to keep you membership current. Bring something to show your retirement status down to the lake or the lake office and it will cost you $50 a year. If you would like the monthly newsletter mailed to your home there is a $10 fee or you can request it to be emailed to your home email at no charge. Getting Laid Off?
A SBEA member who has been laid off work may continue their SBEA membership for 4 years following their layoff. You may pay your yearly ($182) payment at the SBEA Administrative Office at 4226 S. Gold. You will not be allowed to do payroll deductions, but you’ll have all other benefits of membership including the recreational use of the lake.
You Can Purchase A Family Member A SBEA Membership
You must purchase this extended membership application at the Administration Office at 4226 S. Gold. You will have to join and pay there. For more information contact Susan at 316-522-2996 or email her at bea@beatoday.com.
SBEA Membership Now Open To Armed Services And Emergency Relief Personnel
SBEA is now extending the opportunity to join the SBEA to all armed services and emergency relief personnel (army, air force, firemen, policemen, EMS etc.) These members will be allowed all the privileges as an extended member. Access to the lake, SBEA activities, discount tickets etc. If you are on active pay in any of these services and would like to join the SBEA contact Susan at the Administration Office at 316-522-2996. You must pay your dues at the SBEA administration office, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
How Do I Cancel My SBEA Membership?
Go to any SBEA store and pick up a green cancellation form. Fill out the form and attach all current membership cards, (member, spouse and family cards). Turn the form with attached cards into the SBEA store clerk. This process may take 2 – 3 weeks.
