SBEA members can consent to allow any family member to purchase a SBEA membership off of their membership. This membership will be called an Extended Family Membership.
This membership does not refer to the primary SBEA member’s immediate family living in their home; the primary member’s family will continue to receive their cards at no additional charge. This membership refers to those not in your immediate family. Primary SBEA member defined as: a Boeing or Spirit employee who dues are payroll deducted. (Retiree’s are allowed to purchase an extended membership as well.)
Consent: Primary SBEA member must be the person who fills out the paperwork for the Family Membership, thus giving their consent. Primary SBEA member must be a member in good standing:
SBEA dues must be up to date
No previous incident reports involving misbehavior
No outstanding checks or payroll deductions
Problems/Refunds: The primary SBEA member will be notified if the family member causes any problems resulting in the family card being pulled. The incident will then be reviewed at the lake committee meeting and it will be the decision of the Board to approve or disapprove the continuation of the membership. No refunds will be given if the Board votes to revoke the membership.
Refunds will be given if the primary SBEA member is no longer eligible to have a card. Money will be refunded just for the balance of the months if the primary member gets fired, quits, or lay-off and does not renew the membership within the time allowance.
Cost: The cost of the family membership will be at the discretion of the Board of Directors. At this time the cost is $192.00 per year. Newsletter will be mailed to your home for $10.00 extra per year (no partial cost for newsletter, $10.00 for 12 months or 1 month). Those joining must fill out the paperwork and pay at the lake office only.
Limit: There is no limit on how many extended memberships you can purchase.
Admittance: Extended family card and photo ID required for entrance to lake.
Guests: Guests will be allowed on an extended family card. The extended member will be allowed two guests per month. The number of guest will be determined by the number of months purchased for the year.
Purchases: Purchases in the store will be made by cash or credit card only. No checks or payroll deductions will be allowed.
Tickets/Reservations/Activities/Merchant Discounts: Purchasing tickets, attending activities, reserving picnic facilities and taking advantage of the merchant discounts will be allowed using the same rules and guidelines of SBEA membership.
Cards issued are subject to the same guidelines and lake rules as all other memberships.
